Efforts will begin in 2011 to identify and  promote local evidence-based counseling service providers through the formation of the Lancaster Area Consortium of Evidence-Based Professionals.   Membership in the Consortium will be open to counseling entities in both the public and private sectors.  Consortium members must prove that they engage in formal outcomes research activities and use the results of this research to improve the services they offer.  All research efforts are subject to review prior to the granting of membership and reviewed biannually.

Once established, Consortium members in good standing will be prominently displayed on this website to serve as a resource identifying independently verified evidence-based counseling services.  Other announcements and promotions will encourage the public to specifically seek out members of the Consortium as their first-choice for professional counseling services.
