Katie is currently working towards her licensure and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Elizabethtown College. She specializes in working with children and adolescents, but is also happy to work with adults of any age.
Katie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and has spent the last six years teaching music in Baltimore and Lancaster City. In her teaching career, she specialized in working in special education and behavioral intervention settings in urban areas.
She enjoys working in diverse areas and is highly passionate about providing high quality, accessible care to historically marginalized groups. She values being culturally informed, and keeps cultural awareness at the heart of her practice.
As a counselor, Katie’s goal is to help clients regain a sense of autonomy and self compassion after adversity. She uses evidence based, trauma informed techniques to help clients feel safer in their bodies and reconnect with their authentic selves. Katie is looking forward to working with families and children.
